What are standard plywood sizes?

Standard width and length

The width and length of the plywood produced for use in the United States is measured in feet, while the panels are made for use in Europe, Canada, and countries in Asia. metric system is measured in metric units. In Vietnam the unit of measure is also measured in meters
The most common plywood size in Vietnam and also the most popular in the world today is 4 feet x 8 feet, equivalent to 1,219 x 2,438 mm. In Vietnam this figure is rounded to 1220 mm x 2440 mm.

Nominal and practical thickness

The nominal thickness of plywood ranges from 1/8 inch, or 3.2 mm, to 1 1/4 inch, equivalent to 31.75 mm. However, these usually do not have the actual thickness, as sanding during production will remove up to 1/32 inch of material. Therefore, a 3/8 inch thickness plywood is actually 11.32 inches thick. Standard nominal thicknesses include 1/8, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 5/8, 3/4, 1 1/8 and 1 1/4 inch. They correspond to actual thicknesses of 1/8, 1/4, 11/32, 15/32, 19/32, 23/32, 1 1/8 and 1 1/4 inch, respectively. However, in Vietnam we offer quite a variety of plywood thickness including sizes such as 2 mm, 3 mm, 4.6 mm, 5mm, 7mm, 8mm, 9mm, 10mm 11 mm, 12 mm, 13 mm, 15 mm, 17 mm, 18 mm, 20 mm, 22 mm, 24 mm, 30 mm. Please note its tolerance will be +/- 0.5mm
